Founder & Managing Director, PrivacyPod

Helping modern offices solve noise, privacy, and focus problems with modular soundproof pods — without the cost and disruption of traditional construction.

About Tyler Robarge

I'm Tyler Robarge, Founder and Managing Director of PrivacyPod, a manufacturer of soundproof office pods, phone booths, and modular privacy solutions serving businesses across the United States. I started PrivacyPod to solve a problem I saw repeatedly in modern workplaces: open offices were getting louder, hybrid meetings were getting harder, and traditional construction was too slow, too expensive, and too permanent to keep up.

Today, I help shape PrivacyPod's overall direction alongside our team — from product development and acoustic performance standards to national installer coordination, dealer partnerships, and direct client relationships with facilities teams, architects, and workplace leaders. Our team has delivered pod installations for small businesses, growing startups, coworking spaces, libraries, schools, universities, healthcare systems, and Fortune 500 enterprises nationwide.

Experience in Workplace Privacy & Acoustic Design

My day-to-day work puts me in direct contact with the full lifecycle of an office pod purchase: the initial conversation about a team's privacy problem, the spec comparison against competing brands, the freight and installation logistics, and the follow-up once the pod is in service. That hands-on experience is the foundation of everything I write. I'm not summarizing someone else's research — I'm reporting what I see across hundreds of real buying decisions.

Our team coordinates installations in major metros across the country, including New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Boston, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, Washington D.C., and regional markets nationwide. We design and manufacture our products to meet ISO 23351-1 certified acoustic performance standards, with UL-listed electrical components and GREENGUARD-aligned material standards across the full PrivacyPod product line.

Expertise & Professional Background

I bring an innovation-focused mindset to the business, with a background in intellectual property and product development. That perspective shapes how I think about the products we design, the problems they solve, and the way I evaluate the category as a whole. I've trained myself to read specifications critically, compare competing claims against third-party testing data, and separate marketing language from verifiable performance.

I apply that same discipline to the office pod category. When I write a buying guide comparing PrivacyPod against Framery, Loop, Poppin, Zenbooth, or Pillar, I'm working from published spec sheets, ISO acoustic certifications, and direct product comparisons — not vendor talking points.

How I Think About Office Pods

I believe office pods should do more than fill empty floor space. They should improve how people actually work — supporting privacy for sensitive conversations, concentration for deep work, comfort for hour-long video calls, and flexibility as teams grow and relocate. The best office pods function as a practical "room within a room," giving businesses the acoustic privacy of a built-out conference room without the permits, drywall, landlord approvals, or six-month timelines.

That philosophy drives how PrivacyPod's product line is built: solo phone booths for focused calls, two-person meeting pods for quick huddles, four- and six-person rooms for team collaboration, ADA-compliant options for inclusive workplaces, and specialty pods for lactation, wellness, and acoustic lounge seating.

What I Write About

Through the PrivacyPod blog, I publish educational content for facilities managers, office managers, business owners, architects, interior designers, and workplace decision-makers who are evaluating privacy solutions for the first time — or upgrading from a system that isn't working. My writing focuses on practical decision-making, honest product comparisons, and helping buyers match the right pod to the way their team actually works.

  • Office pod buying guides and brand comparisons
  • Acoustic privacy standards (ISO 23351-1, STC, NIC) and what they actually mean
  • Workplace noise reduction and open-office distraction
  • Hybrid office design and flexible workspace planning
  • Phone booths, meeting pods, and focus rooms
  • Modular alternatives to traditional office construction
  • Installation, freight, and deployment considerations for multi-site rollouts
