Browse all office pods
Which PrivacyPod size is right for my team?

PrivacyPod sizes map to your headcount. The S Pod and S Pod Plus are 1-person booths for calls and focus work. The M Pod and SL Pod cover 2 people, with the SL in a narrower meeting layout. The L Pod and L Pod Plus seat up to 4, and the XL Pod holds 6. For accessible spaces, the L ADA Pod and XL ADA Pod cover 4 and 6. Tell our team your headcount and ceiling height and we'll point you to the right fit.

How are PrivacyPods built?

The standard line (S, S Plus, M, SL, L, L Pod Plus, and XL) is built on an aircraft-grade T6061 aluminum frame with 45mm double-layer steel-and-plywood walls and 5+1.14+5mm laminated safety glass, the same glass construction used in automotive windshields. Every standard pod stands 91.6 inches tall.

The Arc S, Arc SL, and Arc L are the curved-frame alternative, a birch-and-aluminum build with a rounded profile at a lower 86.9-inch height for rooms with tight ceilings. The Arc Series is not ADA compliant.

How tall are the pods, and how much ceiling clearance do they need?

Standard PrivacyPods are 91.6 inches tall and the Arc Series is 86.9 inches. Plan for 4 to 6 inches of open space above the pod for ventilation. If your ceiling is tight, the Arc Series is the better fit.

Performance

Acoustics, air, and power.

How the pods perform on sound, ventilation, electrical, and certification.

How soundproof are PrivacyPods?

PrivacyPods are ISO 23351-1 certified at 29.5 dB of speech privacy reduction, with an STC rating of 30 dB and an RT60 reverb time of 0.25 seconds. In plain terms, a normal conversation inside the pod isn't intelligible outside it. All glass is 5+1.14+5mm laminated safety glass, the same build used in automotive windshields.

Are the pods ventilated?

Yes. Quiet built-in fans swap out all the air inside the pod about once a minute, so it stays fresh through a long call or meeting, even in the 6-person XL Pod. The fans are quiet enough to fade into the background, around the hush of a library reading room, and they run on a motion sensor: on when someone steps in, off when the pod sits empty.

How do the pods connect to power, and what is inside electrically?

PrivacyPods plug into a normal wall outlet on a standard 15-amp, 120V circuit with an 8-foot cord, so no electrician or hardwiring is needed. Inside, you get two tamper-resistant outlets, USB-A and USB-C fast charging, a dimmable motion-sensing LED light, and a built-in surge protector.

Does WiFi work inside, and can I get a wired connection?

WiFi works normally inside a PrivacyPod. The glass and acoustic panels block sound, not wireless signal, so phones and laptops connect just like in the open office. A hardwired ethernet port is available as an add-on if you want a dedicated wired connection.

What certifications do the pods carry?

PrivacyPods are UL Listed to UL 962 for electrical safety, GREENGUARD Certified for low chemical emissions and indoor air quality, and built with ASTM E84 Class A interior panels for flame-spread safety. Acoustically, they are ISO 23351-1 certified. If your project or building needs certificate documentation, our team can provide it.

Shipping

Lead times and delivery.

When your pods ship, what is included, and what your building needs.

See shipping policy
How fast can I get a PrivacyPod?

PrivacyPod ships on two timelines. Quick-Ship inventory in white exterior with Ash Felt interior delivers in 1 to 2 weeks, in any furniture configuration and with freight included. Select Arc Series pods in the Haze colorway are also Quick-Ship eligible. Made-to-Order pods (custom colors, solid back walls, switchable privacy glass, integrated desks, and other add-ons) deliver in 8 to 10 weeks.

Quick-Ship stock moves quickly, so our team confirms live availability the moment you share a model and configuration.

Is shipping included, and what about installation?

Quick-Ship orders ship freight-included to a commercial address in the continental US. Professional installation (receiving, delivery from the dock to the floor, assembly, and placement) is quoted separately based on your region, building access, and pod count. Our team can coordinate the full receive-deliver-install workflow, or hand the pods off flat-packed for your facilities team.

What if my building needs a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?

If your building or property manager requires a Certificate of Insurance before a delivery or install, our team provides one. Send the requirements (certificate holder, any additional insured language, and coverage limits) with your order, and we coordinate it with our carrier and installer ahead of the delivery date so nothing holds up your dock time.

How does my pod arrive, and do you ship to my location?

Pods arrive crated and flat-packed for on-site assembly. Smaller pods (S, S Plus, M, SL) ship in a single crate, while the larger L Pod Plus and XL Pod ship in two. Our team confirms the exact crate count and dimensions for your configuration before it ships, which matters if your dock or freight elevator has size limits.

PrivacyPod ships across the US and Canada by LTL freight, set up for commercial addresses with a loading dock. We can also coordinate residential or limited-access deliveries, including liftgate service or inside placement, as part of an install quote.

Installation

Delivery, assembly, and install.

Whether our team installs for you or your own crew handles it.

Do you handle delivery and installation?

Yes. Our team coordinates receiving, delivery, and installation nationwide through a network of vetted partners, in major metros and smaller markets alike, and manages the process from dock to signoff. If your facilities team prefers to self-install, pods ship flat-packed with step-by-step manuals. Reach out for an install quote tailored to your site, floor level, and access.

How long does assembly take, and can my own team do it?

Assembly time scales with pod size. A 1-person booth is a quick two-person job, while larger meeting and conference pods take longer and go faster with a trained crew. Every pod ships flat-packed with step-by-step manuals, so an experienced facilities team can self-install the smaller models. For the L Pod, L Pod Plus, and XL Pod, professional assembly is recommended.

Why is professional assembly recommended for the larger pods?

The L Pod, L Pod Plus, and XL Pod use heavy acoustic panels and large laminated glass, with more structural components than a booth. A trained crew protects the glass, aligns the panel seams and door seal so the pod hits its rated acoustic performance, and levels it correctly. Our team can arrange installation as part of your quote.

Can a pod be moved or relocated later?

Yes. Every pod ships on leveling feet with concealed casters, so it can be repositioned within a space or disassembled and relocated to another floor or building. For a full relocation, our team can quote a disassembly and reassembly visit through the same install network that handles new deployments.

What about fire sprinklers or suppression?

Check with your building or fire marshal on local requirements, which usually apply to the larger enclosed pods. We can accommodate either approach: a sprinkler drop-through so your building's existing system reaches the pod interior, or a self-contained suppression unit mounted on top of the pod. Tell our team what your space requires and we'll spec it on the quote.

Customization

Colors, finishes, and add-ons.

How far you can tailor a pod to your space and your brand.

What colors and interior finishes are available?

PrivacyPod exteriors come in 8 colors: White, Light Grey, Charcoal, Driftwood Oak, Light Aqua, Orange, Red, and Green. Interiors offer more than 20 felt and fabric options. White exterior with Ash Felt interior is the standard Quick-Ship configuration that ships in 1 to 2 weeks; any other combination is Made-to-Order.

Can I add a monitor mount or a solid back wall?

Yes. The M Pod, SL Pod, L Pod, and XL Pod support a partial or full solid back wall for mounting a display (up to a 34-inch monitor on the M Pod). The L Pod and L Pod Plus can also carry a mounted meeting table built into a partial solid back wall.

We're bringing L and XL models with the partial solid back wall into the Quick-Ship program, so if monitor mounting is a requirement, check with us on current stock. A custom solid back wall is otherwise Made-to-Order on the 8 to 10 week timeline.

What other add-ons can I configure?

Beyond color and back walls, pods can be configured with switchable privacy glass, frosted film, an optional Bluetooth audio module (which includes a touchscreen, Wi-Fi, and built-in speakers), an integrated height-adjustable desk, a hardwired ethernet port, a wireless charger, and side-wall branded panels carrying your logo or artwork. Any of these moves the order to Made-to-Order. Standard furniture (seating and tables) is available on every pod and stays Quick-Ship eligible.

Can I choose which side the door opens?

Yes. Standard pods and the Arc Series can be built with a left or right-hinged door (the ADA pods have a fixed accessible layout). Door orientation is set when the pod is built, so a flipped door is a Made-to-Order configuration on the 8 to 10 week timeline.

Can the pods be locked?

Yes. A locking handle is available, and it's now part of the Quick-Ship program, so you don't have to wait on a Made-to-Order build to add one.

Accessibility

ADA-compliant pods.

Accessible options for workplaces and public-facing spaces.

See ADA pods
Do PrivacyPods meet ADA requirements?

Yes. Our ADA-compliant line, the L ADA Pod and XL ADA Pod, is built for accessible workplaces and public-facing spaces. Both include an ultra-thin base plate for flush wheelchair entry, a wide door opening, an automatic door opener and closer, a touchless sensor switch, and foldable furniture for full clearance. For projects that mix ADA and standard pods, our team can help spec the right combination across your floorplan.

What sizes do the ADA pods come in?

Two sizes. The L ADA Pod is a 4-person accessible meeting pod, and the XL ADA Pod is a 6-person accessible conference pod. Both share the same accessibility features and differ in footprint and capacity. The Arc Series is not ADA compliant, so for accessible spaces choose the L ADA Pod or XL ADA Pod.

Ordering

Payment, financing, and warranty.

How organizations buy, pay, and stay covered.

See warranty
How does payment work?

Most customers pay by ACH or business check upfront. We also accept purchase orders, credit card, and wire transfer, including cross-border bill-to entities. Net terms are available case by case. Banking and remittance details are on every invoice, and we don't collect payment information through this site.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Yes. Alongside paying upfront, we can set up flexible payment plans spread over up to 12 months. Share your pod count and timeline and our team will structure a plan around your budget cycle.

What does the warranty cover, and can I return a pod?

Every PrivacyPod carries a 3-year limited warranty on manufacturing defects (full terms on our warranty page). Made-to-Order and custom-configured pods are non-returnable since they're built to spec; for standard orders, reach out to discuss options. Details are in our refund policy.

Comparisons

How PrivacyPod compares.

Straight answers on acoustics, price, and the other brands.

See the full comparison
How does PrivacyPod compare to Framery, ROOM, and the other major brands?

PrivacyPod covers the full size range (1 to 6 people, plus ADA) with ISO 23351-1 acoustic certification, Quick-Ship lead times of 1 to 2 weeks, and freight included, typically at a lower starting price than Framery or ROOM for the same speech-privacy class. Each brand has its strengths: Framery leads on smart-pod technology, ROOM on modular architectural design, Zenbooth on US manufacturing, and PoppinPod on the longest warranty.

Our comparison page lays out price, lead time, and certification side by side.

What is the difference between ISO 23351-1 and NIC ratings?

ISO 23351-1 is the international standard built specifically to measure speech privacy in office pods. It tests the whole pod as a system (walls, glass, ventilation, door seal) and reports the speech-level reduction in decibels. NIC (Noise Isolation Class) is a general-purpose metric originally made for walls and partitions, measuring broadband sound transmission rather than pod speech privacy.

Both report a dB number, and 30 dB in either system means meaningful privacy, but they aren't directly interchangeable. PrivacyPod, Framery, and PoppinPod publish ISO 23351-1; ROOM and Zenbooth publish NIC.

Why is PrivacyPod priced lower than Framery and ROOM?

Two reasons. First, PrivacyPod is a direct-to-buyer brand without the dealer markups built into the standard price. Framery and ROOM both sell heavily through dealer networks, which can add 25 to 35 percent to the price a buyer sees. Second, PrivacyPod doesn't bundle enterprise smart-pod features (touchscreens, 4G modules, occupancy analytics) that add hardware and software cost.

The underlying pod, the acoustic certification, the glass spec, and the certifications (UL 962, GREENGUARD, ASTM E84) are the same class. The difference is what's bundled around it.
